Steelo Posted February 10, 2002 Share Posted February 10, 2002 I am to understand that setting the QoS low will free up your bandwidth...well I do this (set it to 0) and it is extremly slow...so I messed about with it again and I have now set it to 80 and it is working extremly fast now...i'm doing a 11mb download and I am downloading it at over 5k/bps which in my view is good for a 56k. The downside to this is I can't connect to any Half-Life games over the net. I just keep getting a retrying message with HL and other games, I do have a firewall (norton personnal Firewall) and I have disabled it and I am trying to uninstall it but i keep getting this error message "You need to be loged in with the supervisor account to remove Norton Personnal Firewall" I would like to know why this happens and a way to solve it. I would also like to know things to do and things not to do.
