Anyone seen this?

I'm sure it'd look better at a higher framerate.

It does. I played it at 2x normal speed, and it runs pretty good.

It's kinda cool, but it's just beginning to show us what's possible with Avalon...

It does, I had to limit it to only 5 fps to keep the file size down as much as I could, was gonna do a higher one but I dont have the web space for it  .. but when you run the program in real time it's amazingly smooth.. I think its just supposed to show what Avalon can do, rather than what its supposed to look like.

No one here has Whidbey, it's a closed alpha project right now...

*ahem* (looks at the 7 CD set of Whidbey on his desk, and the entry for it in his Start Menu) there is an alpha program for Whidbey on betaplace  as well as it being handed out at the PDC. I'm also fairly sure its available on MSDN. so it's pretty hard to say no one here has Whidbey.

I have a feeling that everyone who does good in the XP SP2 or 2003 SP1 betas will be invited into the longhorn beta :o This isn't confirmed (just a rumor), but I'm doing the best I can anyway... :shifty:

i have no issues AT ALL with the SP2 beta. that's the problem. how can i do good if there's nothing to report? i'm regularily do reinstalls when i change stuff on my box, but no issues there either, except for one BSOD very recently that i couldn't reproduce.

somehow i've the usual phenomenon, which is that on my box all works fine, while on a box of a friend, that has pretty much the same config, lots of stuff goes plain wrong. luckily i've other good beta credits, like the office2003 top60, but i dont know if that'll help for the selection process.
