wmp8, dont mind it but dont bother with winamp anymore..

wmp8 is too bloated.. i only use it when playing files 1 at a time.. winamp playlist features are easier.

i dont have a problem with it, if everythings slow for loading and the start menu is basically freezing n i dont feel like restarting n feel like listening ot music, i'll use winamp, but if its just working good as normal, i'll use wmp8 since it works better for me for some reason than winamp...

it have all the features,

and working fine !!!

Agree! I've tried Winamp and Sonique, but didn't care for either one. Media Player does everything I need it to do.

Coolplayer.

I did some tests - WinAMP and Coolplayer both have the same sound quality (as far as my ears can tell) and same RAM/CPU usage. WMP6 sounded worse and took nearly twice the RAM, 4x the CPU power.

I love Coolplayer, but it's getting old and hasn't been updated for months. No Ogg support, and a few niggly bugs. I might switch to WinAMP once version 3 is fully out as it has free form skins. Speakijng of skins, I won't upgrade until WinAMP3 has some better skins than it did when I last tried it - 2 months ago. No doubt they are already arriving by the hour...

Hmm, nice, but ...

There are several very nice and fancy skins available, but none that suit my particular need. I like to have a very small, compact skin giving the track name and a few essential controls. I keep this open and Always-on-Top all the time. It sits at the top right of my screen just left of the Min/Max/Close buttons where virtually all programs have space.

A lot of Coolplayer skins, and a couple of WinAMP3 skins that I tried, have two skins which are easily switched - one small for the top corner, the other bigger with all the control on them.
