HoochieMamma
I'am thinking because its an alpha of an entire OS its probably not 100% compatible with the drivers that are made for 2000/XP. Could be an IRQ problem (maybe, not sure)
acidic-e-
the NV drivers won't work no matter what. I've yet to see anyone get them working in LH. I've not even been able to and I do have the PDC build (MSDN sub) I think it has a problem with built on stuff for nics but it's alpha wait till beta. HoochieMamma
have you tryed the newest drivers on the official site of your NIC brand?
nuka_t
the nv drivers work fine for me after using xp compatiblity mode on everything except the ethernet adapter (lucky me). @^, yes i have, they are dated march 2000, i guess that makes them four years old now. i have seen a bunch of people using internet on lh and im sure most of them are using nforce 2 mobos. another thing that might be caus=ing the NIC not to work is cause i have a 250w PSU. could that be it? configure Veteran Posted March 5, 2004 Veteran Share Posted March 5, 2004 The Code12 error that you got seems like an IRQ/IO conflict to me. See if you can manually change the settings to something else. nuka_t, HTML tags were disabled ;) Use the forum's BB code :p

nuka_t
i googled IRQ and saw this. could this be it? IRQ3IRQ Number: 3 16-Bit Priority: 11 Bus Line: 8/16-bit Typical Default Use: COM2 (second serial port). Other Common Uses: COM4 (fourth serial port), modems, sound cards, network cards, tape accelerator cards. Description: This interrupt is normally used by the second serial port, COM2. It is also the default interrupt for the fourth serial port, COM4, and a popular option for modems, sound cards and other devices. Modems often come pre-configured to use COM2 on IRQ3. Conflicts: Conflicts on IRQ3 are relatively common. The two biggest problem areas are first, modems that attempt to use COM2/IRQ3 and clash with the built-in COM2 port; and second, systems that attempt to use both COM2 and COM4 simultaneously on this same interrupt line. In addition, some devices, particularly network interface cards, come with IRQ3 as the default. In most cases the problem can be avoided by changing the conflicting device to a different interrupt (IRQ2 and IRQ5 usually being the best choices). If the built-in COM2 is not being used, it can be disabled in the BIOS setup, which will allow a modem to stay at COM2/IRQ3 without causing any problems. More general solutions to these issues can be found in the conflict resolution area of the Troubleshooting Expert. Edit: found this tooIf you are using a network card, beware of I/O address conflicts. Many network cards use a full 32 bytes of I/O address space, and can conflict with other devices. They also sometimes try to use IRQs that are commonly used by other system devices such as video cards or hard disk controllers.
