Photoimpact will dominate the editor market in a couple of years cuz it is developing very fast, the interface is much easier than Photoshop and even though it doesnt have much features, speed vise and learning wise, its the best

neo wake up this is your alarm speaking. You actually think that photoimpact is going to dominate? hahahah I'm going to break a rib. It doesn't matter if the interface is easier or not its the "doesn't have much features" thats going to hold it back. Well that and the fact that photoshop is the industry standard and has managed with photoshop elements to bring a cut down version to the masses.

Photoimpact is great for simple web graphics (like here - under construction) and quick image editing cause it loads 5x faster than Photoshop and is generally faster when you use it but when it comes to more complicated projects Photoshop is perfect (e.g here - just a project) so everything depends on what you want to do:D

I use PI6 & 7 (depends on which one I lauch but I like 6 more:D) and Photoshop 6.

Bleh in my class at school we argue about this a lot. I myself am a photoimpact user because it's easy to use and has a more attractive interface than Photoshop, and by the way photimpact has some website tools integrated, and loads of presets. Things you want to build in photoshop take loads more time than in photoimpact. Some think thats lame but oh well, why choose the hard side :ermm:

Why not? It's almost the same reason why Windows is ruling the market right now right?

yeah and just like how you will never see linux get bigger than windows, you will never see photoimpact getting bigger than photoshop.

Wicked you seem to suffer from the same mentality as all M$ minions. Never is mighty powerful word....Only time will tell. I prefer PI7 because I can create web graphics fast and get on with life. Which is how long it takes to master PS. :) cheers.

first off im not a M$ minion cos i also use osx thank you very much. If you want to sit around and wait for photoimpact to become the graphics standard thats fine with me but I've got better things to do with the next 50 years of my life.
