Microsoft's New Betas

Recommended Posts

yeah, I've also found the email that talks about the beta on #betas - irc.cyberarmy.com:

Ladies and Gentlemen:

Welcome again to the Liberty Beta program! Many of you will have your CDs by now, so it?s time to get Liberty installed and running! Those of you who were in the SQL Server 2000 SP2 Beta with me will know that I?m willing to bribe, bait and coerce you to install, test and stress the Beta product to its limits. This Beta will be no exception.

Therefore, I?m going to give away a copy of Train Simulator, a copy of Money 2002 Deluxe and a copy of ?Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Programming Step by Step? to three random individuals that install Liberty and tell us about it on the newsgroups, whether it installs great or fails miserably. Be sure to include your Beta ID in your tag-line and/or with all newsgroup posts!

However, if you haven?t taken the survey ?

? you won?t get any CDs, and you won?t be able to participate in what is going to be the hottest Beta program yet. Come on, it only takes a couple minutes to stop by www.betaplace.com and run through the survey.

CD Shipments

If you haven?t gotten CDs yet, the original shipment of CDs went out on February 7th, and were sent to all the Beta sites that had answered the BetaPlace survey prior to February 7th. We sent out another shipment last Thursday, February 14th, to all sites again up to that point. The second shipment did include a copy of Windows LE 1.1, the 64-bit Edition of Windows required to run Liberty.
