I was fooling around with it last night trying to see if it did actually work and put in numerous xp home keys but when the activate screen came up it said it was not a vaild key. I would say your chances of having a pirated piece of software is 99.999999% And by the way, its called free speech, not warez since he is not posting and files or links. Leave it alone. babis Posted March 8, 2002 Share Posted March 8, 2002 Actually, there was a lot of talk about this over at MSFN mainly due to the fact that one of the Admins at MSFN was hosting the file at his site MSBetaNG Sadly to say his site was closed "Microsoft recently complained about the links to the XP Keygen and the various other cracks and instructions. Not that i know who you are chris ;) Hehe. I generated valid keys for the CORP and they all worked perfect (no activation so i guess thats why). Nice new unique PID :D but i tried to activate Office XP with some of the keys and i went through about 5 and it just said that it was not a valid PID when it went to activate on the server. However the 6th went through fine. I guess some of the keys are either 'in use' or are not quiet valid on the WPA servers. Oh and one word to note on Office XP, when using a normal valid CD key the pre-service pack files seemed to not generate the 'cant update file pmt.tmp (or whatever it was)' message. It used to be if someone posted something like this there would be a thousand posts saying not to post that sort of thing. Sorry, I must be out of the loop. Weasel, actually, there is a 100% chance I am using a pirated version of XP and that 99.99999999999999999% is more likely the percentage of the software on my comp that IS pirated. I have nothing against warez. The initial post is walking the line of talking about the existence of warez and who uses it and asking for warez/cracks. I know he didn't ask for any warez, but verifying that a crack actually cracks, or in this case, that a keygen actually generates valid keys seems a little fringe. It all ultimately comes down to the companies and website maintainers that deicded what can be talked about and what can't.
