I released an open source SplitButton control a while ago. It's written in C#:

Also, I don't recall ever seeing this posted, but here's a good open source FTP library (also written in c#):

The project is fully open source and is hosted in the biggest open source project site in internet so check it out!

Controls included:

Cloud Button

Cloud SplitButton

Cloud Panel

Cloud CheckBox

Cloud RadioButton

Cloud Panel

Cloud Label

Cloud Form + Cloud ToolstripRenderer (Menustrip, statusstrip and toolstrip are rendered properly)

Regards,

Silly question, but I guess here is the best place to ask it...do these .NET controls work with the Express Editions of Visual Studio (2008 in particular) or are they locked to the paid for editions?

Hi Xerxes, they are not limited to any paid versions of Visual Studio because they are open source controls which can be freely used in any place without giving credit to me (of course it's nice if there's my name in credits but don't have to)

Project now contains some new controls:

Cloud ProgressBar

Cloud ButtonList (not quite finished but working)

One more to add to the list: UIControlSuite .NET. All WinForms/WPF controls.

http://www.binarymission.co.uk

There is the "express" editon that is completely free. It does not (so far) include their WPF controls, but includes most of their WinForms controls.

Hi all,

I'd like to showoff my custom control, it's free and opensource. It has more features than most commercial controls. :)

How about a free IDE with a ton of free add-ons?

Visual Studio 2015 Community RC is available today - it does everything VS 2013 Community does, and some things it can't.  Better yet, the cost is STILL zero.

The last reply was months ago, but perhaps you like this free controls with a Community License:

https://www.syncfusion.com/products/communitylicense

I am using it with VS 2015 and you can also build commercial applications.

Who is eligible?

Individual developers or up to five users at companies with annual gross revenue below $1 million USD.

Can the products be used to build commercial applications?

Yes.

How long are the licenses valid ?

The community licenses do not expire. You will continue to receive support and updates for new versions.

---------------------------

In case anyone wants to complain, my vote is that Necro Posting is just fine if it provides useful information.

I have never used this product but the offer mirrors the VS2015 license and is a legitimate (i.e. it is not spam) notice.

Thanks for the link.
