view web pages on cd

Question

I am making a web page in Word (yes i know it's crap , but we have to :( )for GNVQ IT and becuase the site is bigger than a floppy disk I would have to put it onto a CD.

So how do I get the web site to view exactly how I would've wanted it to be viewed on a Hard Drive?

What should I change the links to?

Just don't link to a specific drive letter. If your page is at the root of your cd and the images are in the images/ folder, then make a link point to "images/image.jpg" instead of the full path. If your page is in a folder above the root of the cd, make the link like "../image.jpg".

It would appear that becase I'm doing it in word, the hard drive letter isn't in there any way, it just points to the file/ folder

For Example:-

Blonde and bubbly Elle Woods (Witherspoon) is a girl who has everything: looks, fashion sense and the perfect boyfriend (Davis). She's president of her sorority, loved by everyone and believes that she's about to get engaged. But when her man dumps her, claiming that she's not serious enough for him, Elle is determined to prove him wrong - by swapping her malls and poolside parties for Harvard Law School, where she can keep tabs on her ex and win him back!

What follows is a lively and often hilarious legal comedy that healthily avoids many of the clichés of the genre, while still being packed with great gags and physical comedy. Witherspoon is spellbinding as the perky, charming and energetic Elle, and roundly supported by the likes of Luke Wilson, Jennifer Coolidge and Selma Blair.

Last time I saved a word document as html it ended up appending 500KB worth of CSS at the top to define each and every font. Does it still do that?

Hatter,

word 97 has basic html generation stuff (sometimes doesn't look exactly the same)

word 2000 added all the css to get it to look exactly wysiwyg

word 2002 adds on to this

but, there's a little program you can download from the office website that will get rid of all the crap that it doesn't -need-
