The current development version of Gimp is loaded with tons of bugs, as Bugzilla will show you in the list of open bugs (including the list of enhancement proposals). If you think you've found a new one, you can submit a bug report.

gimp is pretty good, but to bad its not close to being as good as photoshop yet.

and of course there is a lot of other products in the adobe line to go with photoshop.

mm has a good line up too, very nice.

gimp is good if you just want something to mess around in, anything more i'd get photoshop

The Gimp is an okay piece of software, I just use it to enhance images and to compress images but it is not something that is quite there yet even though it has a very good set of tools. However, this is quite a buggy piece of software but I am sure these will being ironed out soon.
