I got 700m last week and I have confirmed that the use of microphone is virtually impossible because of static, and using a headphone you can hear static on the background. On that note, I bought this laptop despite knowing about this flaw. It is still a good laptop if you don't use these features. check www.recall700m.com for for more details.
