Yesterday I got THPS3 and JK-2, today I got Dungeon Siege, tomorrow I will not have slept for 72 hours and will have forgotten what that big shiny round thingee in the sky is called...

That keychain that came with Jedi Knight II is almost as cool as the game itself. :D THPS3 and Dungeon Seige are the first two games I got that are using the new standarized packaging (half the size of normal boxes).

OMG the game is awesome!!! ahhhh!!! lol dood i love this game!

As for the packaging..I was confused. I walked into EB and I saw the boxes and I'm like..uhhh.. is that the game?

The new smaller boxes make sense but geez..someone should've told me! lol

I agree that it's a good game. A cross between Diablo and Baldur's Gate. But the interface is extremely clunky and clumsy, and doesn't leave too much room for quick micro management. I think if you have a lot of patience, you won't mind. I'm so used to Baldur's Gate ease of management, i find it really hard to tolerate DS's interface. And even for my machine, there is sometimes considerable lag in the game. Anything less than the default settings, and the game would look flat and ugly. But it's definitely an accomplishement to make a fully 3d RPG. Tho i wonder why they don't use modified Serious Sam 2's engine for RPGs. One credit to the game is that the environments connect seamlessly throughout the game. That means no loading time between levels or dungeons. The camera is not as responsive as i'd like, and doesn't show the angles that are sometimes critical. You will strain to see some part of the map but you won't until you move the camera a few times and then move it back to where it was to continue a battle. To me, the game resembles more of Diablo than BG. Since i played all the BG games and never finished Diablo I and II, i can't say that i will finish this one.

I didn't even need to read the manual..thats how intuitive and easy I found the interface to be. Theres keyboard shortcuts for everything as well, and I found myself killing things quickly. If the mouse and camera don't move fast enough, you can increase their sensitivity.

But then again, see..I didn't like Baldur's Gate. I found it much too complex and the micromanagement took the fun away from the game.

Different strokes for different folks i guess.
