0 amoeba
See how I did my sig...that is one of the better ways to hide not doing transparency. Put a light border around it.

0 Prasanth
making it transparent will increase the size:( anyway make a new transparent img with the size of ur sig and paste the sig on a new layer now select the white portion(on select menu click colour range then click on the white portion with the eye dropper. click ok and white portions are now selected). from the edit menu click clear now. i think this will help:)

Because you only have a few colours in your sig (i.e. black, white and a few shades of grey), this means that you will not loose much quality when converting. Transperant images are usually saved as GIF files. If I was you, I would: Open the file in Photoshop Go to Image > Mode and select "Indexed Color" Select the white region of your sig and hit the delete button, the white should then be replaced by grey and white squares (these represent transperancy) Now save a copy of your sig as a .gif file Good luck. :)
