Well i have to say. i dont let this kind of stuff guide me...All the talked about , except the last 2 slides is Doom 3, (not a very Good game)..in D3d Ati owns most of the time, and they also support Geometry instancing..
So..after all...the are about the same....
And the SLI, its outrageous...by the time i get to save enough money for :
A) 2 6800Ultra
b) New Motherboard
c) New processor..
There will be a new card(single Slot) that will be a lot faster than the SLI solution..

Get the agp version if you got a good board and chip etc etc and don't plan on buying a new computer in the next 2yrs.

Get the PCI-X version if your buying a new system and make sure you get a PCI-X board (duh!) etc etc.

I'm not a ATI or Nvidia fan, I just buy whats better for my dollar at time of purchase. ;)

P.S - Let the flaming begin!

A) 2 6800Ultra

who says it has to be 6800 ultras?

I want them to release SLI benchmarks of 6600GT very soon so I can decide whether to buy it or not.

Didn't nVidia do the same thing a few years ago? As I recall the GeForce 4 MX line of cards were slower then a GeForce 3 ti200, which was the baseline GF3.

Haha. The 12th slide refers to The Inquirer. That is enough to make me believe absolutely nothing on these slides!

Not long ago, the NVIDIA bashing was initiated by benchmarks of a game not yet released.

Plus with Doom 3, it may be better to think of it as one engine instead of one game. iD's engines have a nasty habit of been used more than Vietnamese street walkers... :shifty:
