But everywhere I looked it says "To enable cheats, while playing a game, bring down the console with [shift + ~] and type: "devmapall"." Problem is, I cannot do this. When I press Shift + ~ the only thing that happens is that I bring up the inventory, which is mapped to the "~" by default. What am I doing wrong? (I have also tried to run the cheats crack that you can download from various dodgy sites: <> , but the same thing happens.) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

crookram Posted May 13, 2002 Share Posted May 13, 2002 i had similar problems. i solved it by doing the following : you have a few .cfg files somewhere in the JK2 dir. one for single player, one for multi. open the appropriate one with Notepad and do a search for the "~" key. then replace it with another key (i used the "p"). now you will bring up the console by pressing p, but the weird thing is if i want to get rid of the console pressing the "p" key won't help. i will have to press the tilde key to get rid of it. oh well, try it out for yourself, and good luck cheating! ;) (btw, i needed to use cheats before i even finished the game. it simply got too boring after a while :p ) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
