Magister Posted May 21, 2002 Share Posted May 21, 2002 Actually, it's just somthing that Norton thought looked similar, or got confused with a JS.Exception exploit... I swear I NEVER had so many false hits as when I used Norton, they have a operating mode of "better safe than sorry... so throw up an alarm on EVERYTHING". All AV utilities work pretty much the same, in that they look for patterns of code or functionality that resemble virus like activity, that's what makes it so difficult to write a true AV "Immune System" into an OS, how can you truely tell virus actions from user actions...
