BananaMan
I'm hoping the mods can give a little insight into what's wrong with Neowin at the moment, I'm getting connection timeouts and a few DNS errors, went to the http://stats.neowin.net or http://whatever.neowin.net or even http://neowinmodspornstash.neowin.net and it's looking a bit funky, what's going on? This is in NO way representative of hosttyme's service. I can assure you Tyme is doing everything possible to help with the situation, but it's simply a matter of server overload. Who knows, maybe we have a corrupted table or something, but this is NOT tymes fault, just to clarify..
Weasel
you mean that the whole reason I'm not getting any work done and who knows how many other sites are down is because of one site being overloaded? And the overloaded site is the only site that is UP? If your saying neowin is the problem, why don't they shut you down so I go back up

I.E. aco replied to a thread and he was the 3 reply. But there was two posts from him exactly the same and there was really 4 replys (2 by him)

Daniel F. Administrators Posted June 15, 2002 Administrators Share Posted June 15, 2002 As everyone is aware we had some "technical difficulties" last night & this morning. As soon as I saw that Neowin was having problems I contacted Hosttyme - they responded straight away [hopefully the problem is now fixed]- and have continued to monitor the site since. Its been a long night for me & hosttyme, but we made it :cheeky: :rambo:
Steven P. Administrators Posted June 15, 2002 Administrators Share Posted June 15, 2002 Yea they upgraded Apache last night around the same time we were plugged by TechTV (which made things worse) LOL

Tingle
just for those people wondering why their site was working on hosttyme and neowin wasnt, its on a seperate server, neowin has a dedicated one so it doesnt affect anything else tingle
