Sigs involving online status

Recommended Posts

A lot more people have started using the online status indicators in their sigs.. and some members sigs are getting on my nerves.

I hide in-post images.. ([ img ] tags) which include people's sig pictures. so instead of the picture showing up, i get a link.

now, in people sigs they have many pictures in a row, butted up against each other. when this gets converted to the url, the line of characters is continous and very long (sometimes causing my browser window to be close to 2000px) i then have to scroll left and right, back and forth, to read posts. (screenshot: http://www.timdorr.com/~lazydesert/image/n...win/sigprob.PNG

i suggest that people using this kind of setup to add a pace between their images which will cause the text to wrap.

another solution would be server side. possibly using the same technique as when [ url ] tags are used. (example: http://www.timdorr.com/~lazydesert/image/n...r/long/url.html

thanks!

when i read

"hey, thats a sweet-ass sig, dude"

then i can look at it ;)

oh, so we should make all of neowin fix their sigs just because you want to keep sigs on with a particular setting? turn sigs off! gosh, is it that hard?? and if you really care to see a sig, turn it back on momentarily
