Sleeper Veteran Posted October 28, 2001 Veteran Share Posted October 28, 2001 I have modifed all my bitmaps but is there any way of importing them back into the msstyle's file all at once instead of doing it one by one? Thanks
y_notm
not that i know of. :( if somebody knows a way though, please, share how it's done!
DarkParkus
Its pretty easy. This is the normal luna blue theme except that all the bitmaps are stored as individual bitmaps. It requires some development tools to create and link the resources though. If you have VC++ installed, just press build.bat and it will create the msstyle file for the luna theme. The zip file is 236 KB and includes no binaries. http://www.geocities.com/darkparkus/lunadump.zip
CyberGlitch
Restorator will allow you to import all your bitmaps at the same time, make sure they are all in a dir named BITMAPS and then just drag and drop that dir onto of the one in restorator (you'll get what I'm saying when you use it) and it'll import all the new bmp files. Save and wola, you finished. :devious:
Aegros
when you try replacing the bitmaps within Restorator, it gives an acess violation error when you try to save the file
PM5K
maybe you are using the Style you are trying to save ?
Aegros
using a copy of it in an entirely different dir~;o) and it's NOT restorator itself, it just apparently doesnt like file types it doesnt understand, i edited an .exe and a .dll file and saved them with no troubles whatsoever
Aegros
if it's just me having this problem...then i'd love to find a way around it, if not...and it's an everyone type thing, then even more reason to find a way around it, cause Restorator is a helluva lot better to use...it actually extracts the NAME of the bitmap....makes it a ton easier to figure out what you're working with..and the whole replacing all bitmaps at once thing would make it easier to get themes up faster....or we could just say ef it and wait for style builder~:o)
