teka
How to do it? 1) Open Resource Hacker 2) Backup x:windowsexplorer.exe 3) goto x:Windowssystem32DLLCache and delete explorer.exe 4) goto x:windowssystem32Restore and open filelist.xml with notepad (if u can't see that file u'll need to uncheck [Hide Protected OS FIles] in Folder Options). Add the following line before the "%windir%system.ini" line: %systemroot%explorer.exe 5) goback to Resoruce Hacker and open x:windowsexplorer.exe 6) find the folder 143 under Bitmap. Click on 1033 and thn go to [Action/Replace Icon...]. Choose the icon u want and click [Replace]. DONT SAVE THE FILE. 7) Hold down CTRL+ALT+DEL and click the Processes tab, locate explorer.exe and click End Process. 8) Go back to Resource Hacker and save the explorer.exe file. 9) Then go back into the Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL) and go to [File/New Task/Run...] and type in explorer.exe and click OK. 10) The Start Button Icon should be different. Note: If Windows alerts u that the explorer.exe is corrupted when u saved the "modified one" click [Cancel].
