yeh u cant have any of those nice alpha transparencies in icons in windows xp under 16bit colour. also photos look nicer in 32bit

32 bit.. wish i could run it at 1024x768, though... got a gayway (gateway) monitor, so it doesnt view it properly.. like for example, a size 8 pt font would look 6, even if i changed it to 85hz, didn't make a difference at all and i'd have to strain to read things, so i stick to 800x600 for now ;(

I've been running 1600x1200 at 32bit color on a 67hz refresh rate. I discovered (re:I looked at the settings:right: ) two days ago i could hit a 100 hz refresh by lowering my res to 1280x1024...so here goes the great experiment.

Oh yeah, still 32bit color.

being a minimalist, i stick with black and white. who needs color anyways? :p

nah, if ya got xp, it's gotta be 32 bit.

15" UXGA - 1600X1200 32bpp @ LCD Refresh Rate

Windows XP Pro. Only way to go on XP is 32bit, because it was teh first Microsoft OS to Actually Utilize the ability of 32bpp, anything else like 2000 or whatever i'd use 16bit cuz in those OS you can't tell, ONLY IN XP weeeeeeeeeee! :D
