Premgenius Posted August 3, 2005 Share Posted August 3, 2005 An Air France Airbus A340 flying from France to Toronto carrying 309 passengers skidded off the runway and bust into flames all passengers and crew have been safely evacuated and more then 40 passengers have been treated for minor injuries. This is the first Airbus A340-300 accident in its 13 years of service which started back in October 1991. There have been multiple witness statements some say "the plane was coming too fast", "there was a lighting strike", "nose wheel collapsed" etc Once again bad weather was present with strong winds. Unrelated an Air India Boeing 747-400 skidded off the runway on Chhatrapati Shivaji International airportIn Mumbai on Saturday.
