Court convicts guy for net comment

Estonian capital Tallinn city court convicted 22 year old guy for anonymous net comment: "jews to the oven!"

The city court convicted 22 year old Olev Hannula for bringing up social hatred misdeed, fining him for 3000 Estonian Kroon(~234 $).

This can be a precedent as from now police can bring other people to court who use the expression "jews to the oven" in their speech.

In 2003 he made an anonymous comment to the article "Israel: europeans are jew-hostile", published in Estonia's most popular news portal Delfi(www.delfi.ee).

After that special police unit Defencepolice tracked him down using help from news portal and ISP-s.

This is just so odd I had to post it somewhere - the guy got convicted for one net comment that was among other few hundreds.

Estonia is a small coutry(about 1,5 million habitants, 46% of them are internet users) in Northern Europe and is a member of EU since 2004.

Apparently some rinch and angry jews have a lot of influence here.

Just because I know its coming. Dont say it. You know what I'm talking about.

I agree with Canada's hate laws. But comments like that are par for the course on the internet so I don't really agree with that ruling (i am aware it is in estionia)
