First of, most probably you'll not be able to turn it into a wireless mouse.
Second thing.Yes, I'm pretty sure most of the wired optical mice beat their wireless counterparts.I just bought a wired 7-button optical mouse a few days ago and it's better than any of the wireless mice I have used.

So, you bought a wired keyboard, but wanted a wireless one at a wired price?

I don't get it. Wait like a week more, save a little and get a wireless!?!!

^^ lol @ you!

anyways, never heard of such a thing, it is as unlikely as an ASUS A8n SLi premium not exploding in your pc

youll just have to buy another one, and they do sell wireless keyboards, but wired is best, sinec sometimes it takes tme to detect it and you might not be able to enter the bios (happened to a friend)

I have had no bad experiences with wireless mice and keyboards. In my opinion they work just as wlel are wired mice and keyboards.
Also, not all of them are expensive. I got pretty good wireless keyboard + mouse set for £15/20.

mikeboy, your friend might not have been able to get into the bios because they keyboard was USB and not to do with the fact that it was wireless.

BigCheese some people think they notice difference if they play a game at 200FPS even if their monitor is only capable of displaying 60... PLACEBO.
