Hum
SEATTLE, USA - A 35-year-old Washington state man was charged with double murder Thursday after telling police that he had decided to hunt down and kill two sex offenders listed in an online sex offender registry. Michael Mullen told police that he decided to find and murder sex offenders in Bellingham, 90 miles north of Seattle, after the high-profile arrest of a sex offender in Idaho in July. Mullen, who turned himself in Monday, killed two men who were roommates in a house in Bellingham on Aug. 27, possibly as revenge for being molested as a child, police Lt. Craige Ambrose said. Sex offenders in most U.S. jurisdictions are required by law to register with local police when they take up residence, and such information is often provided on a Web site for community residents. ?Mullen also said that he had planned the murders for some time and that on July 13, 2005, he had accessed the Whatcom County sheriff?s sex offender Web site and from that, selected at least one of the two victims,? the statement added. full details: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9261767/
704
Well... all the people who reply on forums about sex offenders needing to be killed should be a little appeased right now. :|

mAcOdIn Veteran Posted September 12, 2005 Veteran Share Posted September 12, 2005 Depending on what these guys did I might be ok with this, too bad we have to arrest the guy.
Osiris
Yeah....too bad..... I know I sure want some guy running around my community killing people of his own volition..... Whos to say these guys werent on the sex offenders list for being 20 and sleeping with a 17yr old, as per another topic in the RWI forum. Is that someone who you truly feel needs to die? But there on the sex offenders list so by your vigilante logic I guess they should. Rather then supporting a cold blooded murder, how about just doing the citizen thing and partitioning your state or government for tougher sex offender laws if you think its neccessary, rather than supporting a cold blooded killer. mAcOdIn Veteran Posted September 14, 2005 Veteran Share Posted September 14, 2005 Well I don't know what they did, I don't necessarily think statutory rape is a death sentance, but I do think obviouse child molestation things should be. And every chance I get I will go for tougher child protection laws, unfortunately right now there's lame stuff coming up, city wide we had a vote on public smoking, and next on the list state wide I believe is gay marraige(which I'm for but will fail in this state for sure). But I don't think these guys we're statutory rapists due to thier age and living together. Another thing is I do support vigilantism. I respect everyone who disagrees with me, I even support the state for locking this guy up, because even though I agree with what he did it is illegal. I recognize the laws of the land even if I don't agree with them. Now that said, if I were in charge all sex offenders would either be killed or have thier penises and hands chopped off in the event I couldn't enforce the death penalty. But everything is cold-blooded when it comes to punishment. The idea that just locking someone away for life being more humane than killing them is a fallacy, fact is at that point there is nothing humane left for us to do, it's all cold-blooded. Of course you could look at it backwards and consider killing child molesters and rapists as humane or warm-blooded as it saves others from having to fall victim to thier crimes. It's all in how you want to look at it but I think the simple fact is these acts should not be tolerated and these offenders should never be placed back into society. Take from that to mean what you will.
