The government like lower pass rates because it makes their figures higher, and the only people who benefit are the government. I feel sorry for the people whos education is rapidly deteriorating because Labour wont allow pupils to understand what failing is. These people are in for shock when they get into the real world and a realise they can fail, and an E grade GCSE means nothing. 586591738[/snapback] I agree the exams aren't harder and society has changed soooooo much that it is easier to pass exams (internet etc.). Pupils and parents are more aware of what to do to pass with high marks. What is needed is something that actually challenges the majority not favours the figures/pass marks.
