iOS as Android.

Love android homscreens over iOS but I love iPhone ecosystem and design over anything in Android. This way I have the best of both worlds.

I just took a look at this thread's first 20 pages and man... how much phones GUIs have advanced in the last 5 years. How we managed to live with such rudimentary GUIs?

Android and iOS are marvelous.

I still have screenshots of my homescreens from the HTC Magic, my first Android phone. I laugh now when I see how poor they were :p

Anyway....

Final for me now until Jelly Bean I guess. Customised everything and I have no desire to try any other ROM having checked out features of the majority of them.

S3_setup_Wanam.png

rom: Wanamlite 1.4

launcher: Nova Prime

dock icons: custom

theme: ICS Domination for S3

weather: Snowstorm

calendar: Pure Calendar Agenda

text icons: Minimalist Text

phone app: exDialer (paid version with plugins & Black ICS theme)

The main thing about Nova is gesture shortcuts, 2 finger rotate to launch camera/imaging, 2 finger swipe for other stuff, double tap for play store, home button when on main screen for brightness control and various others :D

Don't take it too personally, but I find the coupling of "mobile" and "desktop" words a bit insulting....

Picked up a Galaxy S 3 on Friday (July 13th, 2012) and here is a quick screenshot of my phone.

This is probably the best theme I've found. I'm NOT joking, I love the simplicity of old interfaces

That is the most awesome iPhone theme I have ever seen. What is it called?

It's called Boss iOS. It's by Fif7y, the same guy who made the Prestige and VIP themes. This is his latest and it comes with a bunch of rather cool mods ;)

Thanks for mentioning NCSettings. No more SBSettings for me!

Also found OmniStat which gives a ton of info in the Notification Center (free RAM, processes, current IP address, etc.).

And an updated desktop.

Additional tweaks:

  • Springtomize: icon tweaking, notification background, display seconds on lock screen (not shown here)
  • MusicCenter for Notification Center: self explanatory. That music box in NC.
  • NowListening: displays a notification banner when an app playing music (not just the stock Music app) changes songs. Also not shown here.

Just an observation.. I see a lot of iPhones modded to look like Androids and a lot of Androids modded to look like iPhones.

I fail to see the problem here. :shifty:

Though yes, that is an amusing observation.
