To contrast my above Nexus 5 post, here's the homescreen on my Wildfire S. Just picked this phone up for $25, rooted it, and squeezed CyanogenMod 9 on it. Amazing how small the Wildfire S is next to my Nexus 5, in physical size and screen resolution.

Tap and hold the app drawer icon, choose edit, then tap the icon itself and change it that way.
