Mmm... I thought I recognised those. Didn't the South African miltary have something very similar during apartheid? Still that big claw thing is one way of dealing with people you don't like. If you see a bunch of protestors causing a scene, all you need to do is scoop them up and then toss them in a dumpster.

I'm sure that will make the American military a lot more popular in that country.

(I know what the article says they are for, but the SA military did use them in the past pretty much exlusively for crowd control. You could toss anything at them and they wouldn't break. I remember watching several riots on TV where they used them).

i was reading about one of the new oshkosh trucks.. and its front wheel independant suspension system.. pretty damn nice..

now i wonder how much this is going to cost us.

Probably much less than training the soldiers to replace those who die or are disabled due to having vehicles that can't withstand a roadside bomb.

For those that didn't look at the PDF files on the link, here's a picture of the Cougar (the one without the claw) next to a Humvee. I don't think there's a chance in hell that you'll ever see these available for commercial production. Where would you find a parking spot big enough?

Jesus o_O lol imagine a cop chase, and the felon was in one of those it would be chaotic... *calls local tv station for a show idea :p*
