Hurmoth
Basketball is apparently the reason an Oklahoma City man will spend extra time in prison.Eric Tropy was offered a plea bargain on charges including shooting with intent to kill and robbery. The District Attorney offered him 30 years, but when he went before the judge, Tropy actually asked to serve 33. Tropy told the judge Larry Bird was his favorite basketball player, and if he had to serve hard time, he wanted his sentence to reflect his respect for Bird. The judge took Tropy up on the offer and handed down a 33-year prison sentence. If only there were more criminals that asks for more time like this idiot! Obviously a prison in LA is going to be a lot more dangerous than Northern New Hampshire or Sweden. I don't really think prison is as dangerous as shown on HBO's "OZ."
