well it's China's country so it's their rules, you can't enforce your own governments policies on another.

If China acts this way it's fair to say that it's up to them.

I doubt you would have the same opinion if you lived there.

The big deal isn't about the democratic ideas. Many people there know what democracy is and there have been student protests about it.

What the big deal to censor is the Human Rights issue.

There has never been a 'real' communist society. Various governments and communities have tried throughout history, and many claim to have the goal of eventual communism, but no one has really ever been able to accomplish it.

Of course, it's kind of ironic. The 'communist' governments claim to be following Marxist principals into Communism, but call themselves Communist, when Marx himself said that Socialism was the stage before Communism.....

...So shouldn't they be calling themselves Socialist? Meh.

I got one thing to say to you people... I think the country is doing a pretty damn good job of running itself, considering it has reletively low natural resources and a population of over 1.3 billion. Especially now, considering that China is fast becoming the highest growing market for many things, and Chinese is forcasted to take over English as the language of commerse within our lifetimes. You may disagree with how China works, you may disagree with it censoring Wikipedia. I disagree with it too, make no mistake. But give credit where credit is due. Don't tell China how to run China.

Will China ever stop in this? No.

Will they keep it up. Yes

They will keep on hitting the popular sites that become sorta known.

Its happened quite alot. And more will come sadly.

The actual idea of communism has nothing to do with censorship.

I dunno about you guys, but maybe if you lived in China and actually experienced this, your opinions might be worth listening to. As of yet, you guys are once again proving your ignorance, simply because you live in a well-off society and think that such policies are 'bad'. I'm not disposed to praise China much (I'm born in Hong Kong, there's like this enmity of sorts - a bit like Aussies and Poms or Kiwis), but until you're a Chinese citizen, have lived in China and know how their society works, I suggest you don't make blatant comments that reflect your so called 'knowledge' simply because you're so used to uncensored material and free speech and have been 'educated'. Respect the country and how they run it. In time, China will change, but it might not be ready for it yet.
