He hid it for so long...

Okay, I thought you were saddened because he was going to :devil: or something silly like that.

I bet it was really difficult for him to live with that secret for so long.

I don't see why the media makes such a big deal out of this.

Who cares if he's gay, he's just another human being?:rolleyes::

Next...:woot::

....because being straight and gay is different, aren't they? While I think homosexuals deserve equal right as the heterosexuals, the fact is that they're... different.

I don't understand why people try to deny everyone's difference just for the sake of political correctness. Black and white are equal, but they're different. Chinese and Italian are equal, but they're different. Gay and straights are equal, but they're different. See? People can still be equal while acknowledging the difference.

If, for example, Angelina Jolie suddenly reveals she's a man disguised as a hot woman, do you think everyone should shut up about it and not care just because she(he)'s just another human being?

"Equal" doesn't mean "same".

Must be a slow news day huh...

Or perhaps people have just had enough of the Bush presidency in trouble stories, "I now, lets do something light, Sulu is gay, that'll get tongues wagging"

Wag the dog more like... :devil:

But good for him, it seems to be the month for Star Trek cast news, what with Scotty being shot into space and all.

George Takei was in the Japanese internment camps in the American West. In them were also people of Japanese descent who were taken out of 17 other countries. America, under Ronald Reagan finally recompensed the Japanese-Americans about $25,000 for the injustice that was admitted to being "racism". The others, many apparently kept in Texas, have not been recompensed. Many young people were in the camps and one of the current President's men was in them he relates. One of the highest decorated units in WWII were Japanese-Americans in Italy, nisei, my dad who served there called them which is title about which generation of immigrant one belongs too. They weren't allowed to own property in California. In the "Battle of the Bulge" (a monument just opened in Ontario, New York outside Syracuse, NY) one particular "nisei" unit lost over 900 men rescuing 500 "lost Texans" the decision still argued over in military strategy. Isn't everyone who's been associated with "the final frontier" homosexual, "back to feeling their old self again?" I think George Takei of an American asset and whatever spin we project more of the same stupidity that gets us into wars.
