Neowin is a such famous site and run by brilliant amateurs that AFAIK are paid no money when is Hostyme gonna stop being so cheap cases and give Neowin another server ?! Hosttyme's support has been nothing short of incredible. You have to credit them that. As for server probs, i don't think the amount of visitors is actually the problem guys. It doesnt add up. We'll keep you informed I am sure. yes you are probably right... it isn't because of the amount of visitors but that screens yesterday sure caused server probs i have seen probs occuring with 400+ ppl on the boards and also with 100 ppl it's very strange indeed and i hope it gets discovered soon and fixed Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Good luck and thanks to all the admins and mods or whoever is working to get this fixed, because i want my normal neowin back! :D P.S. There were a lot of responces to get a Neowin t-shirt, but when it came to business, only about 10 people ordered. Redmak or Neobond, how can i give you money to use for neowin?? Tim Dorr Veteran Posted July 31, 2002 Veteran Share Posted July 31, 2002 again, as the annoucement has said: we ARE working on it. we don't need your money, we're getting our hosting for free :) we've also identified TWO possible ways to fix or at least aid the problem. hopefully, one of them (more mysql tweaking) will be effective, and the other (new forum software :D ) will be at least partially beneficial. no more details than that. the mysql tweaks will probably go into effect tomrrow sometime, so we'll see how things are in a day or two...
