Silvorgold
so what do u think of the posts that ppl celebrate their 1000th/2000th/3000th/etc post....love em or hate em? well at times it starts to get annoying now since theres alot of ppl who do those threads now days, but when they have a celebration thread every few days then it gets a lil annoying but 1000 posts DOES take a long time to get lol...kinda like hard work ;) lol
MxxCon
pathetic. "oh hey look at a me, i spend too much time on neowin" on the other hand is marks a "milestone" in neowin's community. while it's somewhat important, too much attention is being payed to such posts. just make one thread where ppl post their milestones. and skip on "congratulations", that's just stupid. aco Veteran Posted September 19, 2002 Veteran Share Posted September 19, 2002 I suppose it's not that great - I mean anyone can make these milestones given time. But on the other hand, why do we celebrate anniversaries and birthdays? It's the same deal with them, given time they occur. Celebrate if you like. :D
sphere
i don't mind them. it's fine if people want to take the time to say thank you to the neowin community for helping them out throughtout their time here. if you don't like them, then don't read them. simple. WinterHaze
i make a face like this i wouldnt do them myself but i can see why others would...
Jon
pathetic. "oh hey look at a me, i spend too much time on neowin" I agree, they are a complete waste of time, mini ego trips. People seem to think if they have ~3000 posts they have some kind of rank here, in my opinion they just post to every thread despite most of the time having nothing to contribute. I bet if we had cut them out (banned them) they would be fewer performance issues!
EDF
i think they are good it shows prode in neowin

Tesseract
I used to post them myself but now I don't and I don't like them because post count does not matter. It is not a true measure of site participation.
Silvorgold
i used to post them myself (even a year ago when i reached 100 posts for the first time) but i dont bother with them anymore cuz its a waste of bandwidth/space and since i post on several different sites now, im too lazy to do that now

altezza Veteran Posted September 21, 2002 Veteran Share Posted September 21, 2002 It's not that great...but it's how people want to say hoorah to themself..."Look everyone, I just got 1000th post!" and so on. It's not offending me anyway, but what I did when I see threads like this is just by congratulating them. I think they celebrate x000th post is just for fun and possibly to show their friendliness towards this great community forum...so Neowin deserves the most friendly community forum on the face of Earth :D Just my two cents :D
