Samsung CXJ1952

Recommended Posts

I have a quick question about the Samsung CXJ1952 tv. Yes... iknow it's from 2001. My only question is... how do i get it to video mode for my dvd player? I don't have the remote, i'm working on finding it... but in the meantime, I figured I'd throw this question out to everyone.

Thanks

P.S. I have attached an image of what the TV looks like.

You can try hitting channel down to get to the input which is sometimes placed below channel 1. If that doesn't work, you may have to get a universal remote.

yeaaaaaa... that didn't work unfortunately. universal remote might be the way to go. Does anyone know if there is a button combination to press to get into video mode?

usually when a signal is sent from an external source the tv changes to that channel automatically

if there is not a video button right on the tv or in the menu try going to a very low channel like channel 0 a number of my tv's also go to 99 for one input and 91 for the second imput, this could put it into some sort of AUX or video channel.. or you may need the unviersal remote as other have suggested

  • 6 years later...

I am having this same problem.

here's some better info on what limitations this combo has:

Tv channels only go from 2-69

There is no av-1 or any such channel below or above 2-69

If you punch 00 into the remote it will take you to channel 2.

There is nothing in the menu about switching to input of any kind.

Holding both volume buttons, channel buttons, or vcr buttons in any combo I could think of did not switch it.

Having the xbox on and plugged in did not automatically switch to the input. neither did it pick up on any channel.

After much searching I finally managed to find the code on my jr500 universal remote, however the input button doesn't work either. and we only got it to work under the vcr codes and not the tv codes.

I'm fairly technically savy and still can't figure this out. also fixya.com is totally useless, as is samsung.com, as they no longer even list this model of television.

Thanks for any help on this.
