goodcase
After school, my bro and i were supposed to meet my dad at his office and then head out to dinner from there. But a complete suprise to me my brother went to the Caddy dealership and me my father there. I noticed the old escalade parked without plates on it. So i got instantly excited. We go into the dealership. get all the papers signed. And away we go. If your post includes something about "having fun paying for gas" "gas guzzling" "environment ruining" "your daddy not yours" please don?t bother posting. The Escalade had been completely redone and not too many of them are on the market yet. So I?m just showing the people who want to see it. Here are some pics: shoe test! I would have taken interior pics, but I forgot the keys upstairs, and I was too lazy to get them. And it was raining out. so that?s why its in the parking garage. Didn?t want to get the camera wet haha. Its white diamond, with the 22" rims. Its fully loaded and its an awesome experience to drive in it. Its so conferrable and it outperforms the older generation of escalades. Edited April 9, 2006 by goodcase
NY1
Enjoy your new ride. Though I don't like the new design myself. At least the interior is better.
CoLdFuSi0n
nice, personaly for me i'm not into the luxury cars or trucks, i like to take them out in the bush and not worry about getting a scratch on it, thats why i love my 2005 dodge ram quad cab 3500 ;) but still that is a nice ride, my parents own one but in black. Pilsbury
Good to see nice and rusty suspension arms on a brand new vehicle :D What's with the shoe against the wheel on the first pic?
MetaLRasaM
why dont you take some pic of the interior..from the INSIDE. i really like this car...
unknown753
do you hounistly think i care. Take your oppinion and go someware and tell somebody who cares, because i dont. Gas is a tax write off for my dad because he's in a business where he uses his truck alot. So he'll still be smiling. glad you're not letting the tree humping hippies get you down. nice ride. hope you and your dad enjoy it. is your dad going with aftermarket wheels or keeping it stock? chrome wheels are the only thing i'm not a fan of.
goodcase
then why did you make a post on neowin? lol because there are people out in the world that like SUV's and dont care about your remarks about how this one truck is killing the enviroment when infact there are older vehicles that are doing more damage then this is. is your dad going with aftermarket wheels or keeping it stock? chrome wheels are the only thing i'm not a fan of. He's keeping them stock. they look small in the picture. But there 22"'s stock
Yusuf M. Veteran Posted April 8, 2006 Veteran Share Posted April 8, 2006 There's no need to scold him for posting images of his family's car. It's a nice car and all even though it's a big gas guzzling SUV. I'd take the Hummer H2 over that.
goodcase
The new escalade gets better gas mialage then the previous generations. So cadillac did think about gas mialage...to an extent.
Buttus
I guess it's just me, but it looks like every other SUV out there... not much nice about it over any other one...
ps2mike
if you don't like people opinion's why even bother posting here? no matter what someone's opinion is there's no need to get all hostile over it. and my .2 cents is while it is a nice car to ride around the ghetto in and try to impress people it's not a wise investment. if your the one that is paying on it and not daddy and needed a new vehicle there are alot of better options out there to go to. i would have went with a toyota or honda. good on gas and will last you forever but hey ain't my damn money so have fun
HellboundIRL
Hope you enjoy it, personally none of those trucks fit my taste, I think they're as ugly as sin...I'm sure its a nice ride though all the same.

Theres obviously a market for SUV's so the people who buy them are willing to pay the price for it. My dad speciallizes in selling high end real estate, so he cant show up to a 4 million dollar house in a toyota or a honda. As for me, ill probably end up getting a SAAB 95 when i turn legal age to drive, which is 16 years of age here in ontario for a G1 (basically a learners)

uniacid
kids kids... calm down. yes it is a nice car but I wouldn't personally want a gas guzzler of any kind, gas is way too expensive and people aren't understanding the way their car affects the enviroment, if you don't believe me come to Florida for the 06 Hurricane season :D
AltecXP
There's no need to scold him for posting images of his family's car. It's a nice car and all even though it's a big gas guzzling SUV. I'd take the Hummer H2 over that. They dont even deserve to be called hummers. thy are just a GM truck frame w/ a hummer STYLE body. honestly i have never seen ANYONE hta hs eve owned one and had any other reason then 'i could afford it'. Lease Exotic Owners can say "its fast', and SUV owners can say 'large familty and better in snow then a Mini-van'.
boogerjones
I like the Escalade, but think the wheels are getting obnoxiously big and that it still has that GM "feel" to it. I prefer a Range Rover in that price range.

goodcase
Well tbh, he was looking at getting the BMW 760Li, but this suited our needs better. We needed something that could pull the boat as well as 5-7 people, and luggage to our cottage. So this met the requirements :p
