Slacker
Does anyone know a web site that has a really clear tutorial on how to get filesharing working between a Mac running OS X 10.2 and a PC running various versions of Windows?
jessejlt
Just enable file sharing on the winblows box and the Jaguar box will self discover the network. Jag networks easier than any OS I've ever worked with. If you really want a tut though, check Apple's website, I'm sure they have more than sufficient material to cover that subject. Also, you could check out hxxp://macosxhints.com the'll have plenty on that subject as well. jesse ;-)
sparkleytone
jag automatically sees all windows shares and workgroups on your subnet if you want to share out to windows machines, click windows sharing in the sharing panel if you want to appear as part of a certain workgroup, use the directory access program and configure the SMB
Gator
Yea, mounting my PC's hardrive on my Mac was almost too easy. I plugged each into an end of an ethernet cable, went "Go, Connect To Server, waited a few seconds and my PC's name popped up and I was connected.
