Are there any services like this that people know of? He was right, we had it removed to make way for a fence, but google maps is still using a picture from a few years ago. It was a 3 man convo, first guy (Call him "AS") second guy (called him "TE") and me. Me and TE was messing around with AS, and I said I am spying on TE with one of my NASA satellites and collaborated and got all out acts together. I told TE in a second MSN window to pretend he is going to brb, while I said I am watching TE tripping over TV cords, talking to his dad, eating a pepperoni pizza etc to AS. I was showing this guy I worked with where I grew up (a normal suburban neighborhood) and then he found his house - which is on a lechee farm in South Africa. I just read an article on this stuff, it's about a GeoVille and TeleAtlas system that helps refine census data, crazy what they can do with this sort of technology these days. I know that Google Earth uses a combo of NavTeq maps (used for Garmin and TomTom Rider) and TeleAtlas (used by TomTom GPS and Cobra) True, my friend from S. Africa seemed to have much more clarity than my shots of home, which seemed more grainy - probably as a result of satellite versus air photos like you said.
