On xbins I'm downloading at an astonishing 0.0 - 3.5 kps (compared to the usual 800kps+) its getting pretty hammered right now, but still, worth the wait I hope. Bittorrent would be the answer, it thrives when under heavy load, once the seeder count gets up.

One thing I can't figure out. On the old PMIII skin you had a dialog sub menu, whereby you could reboot, reload skin or shutdown the box using the remote..

Where is that now?

I mean, who's ever heard of turning off the box by the button? That would mean getting up off my @rse!!! lol

Look at keymap.xml in userdata.. you can modify the which button does what.

Yep here it is.

Find this ---> <keymap>

<global>

<remote>

ADD THIS UNDER REMOTE ---><zero>XBMC.ActivateWindow(PlayerControls)</zero>

Did anyone find where you can view the weather???

They have the weather config screen on the system blade but where does it display it??

START BUTTON -> EXTRAS!

There you will find File Explorer, Scripts, Weather.

Press start and load the guide menu, then go to PERSONAL SETTINGS

or if using the remote;

On the remote edit keymap.xml to this.

Find this --->

<keymap>

<global>

<remote>

ADD THIS LINE UNDER "REMOTE"---><zero>XBMC.ActivateWindow(PlayerControls)</zero>

Save the keymap.xml, overwrite then reboot.

If you have done the above see below;

For the "Shutdown" menus do the following;

Press "start" or "zero" on remote, and load the guide menu, then go to "PERSONAL SETTINGS", then "ADVANCED OPTIONS",

Make sure the "ENABLE MC360 GUIDE BUTTON" is checked.

Now on your Media Blade, you should have a new button, MC360 Guide.(If not reboot your box).

Now just click this with your remote when you want to open the guide blade, and you will always find "SHUTDOWN MENU" in the "EXTRAS FOLDER" of the guide.

Weather is also in the "EXTRAS" folder.

Its a bit complicated, but once you have it enabled its good to go

Holy crap, a N xious...you are a god!!

Not me mate. I'm just the messenger ;)

Nah, I found all that on xbox-scene.

Anyway, here is another ditty for you, I just found on xbox-scnen.

You're gonna love this one. I think it is amazing.

++++++++++++++++++

I know some people and also myself love the new skin but miss having the weather on view.

Im new to this but have had a play around today and modified the Home.xml script so that instead of the gamercard we have the weather back. I have left the area as a button so when clicked will give you the detailed weather info! :D

As always, please make a back-up of the home.xml file first...just in case you screw it up! ;)

Enjoy. I think you will like it. This will be added to whatever "HOME" blade you have,. Mine is the "Media" blade so it shows on there.

Basically replace the GAMERTAG section in Home.xml with this:

<!-- Begin GamerCard -->

<controlgroup id="50">

<control>

<description>GamerCard Button</description>

<type>button</type>

<id>4</id>

<posx>156</posx>

<posy>77</posy>

<width>262</width>

<height>125</height>

<onleft>1</onleft>

<onright>2</onright>

<onup>11</onup>

<ondown>5</ondown>

<onclick>ActivateWindow(Weather)</onclick>

<pulseonselect>no</pulseonselect>

<posy>90</posy>

<label>-</label>

<font>font13</font>

<textcolor>FF000000</textcolor>

<width>70</width>

<height>70</height>

<info>Weather.Conditions</info>

<visible>System.HasNetwork</visible>

<animation effect="fade" end="0" time="100">WindowClose</animation>

</control>

<control>

<description>NO TEMP</description>

<type>label</type>

<textcolor>FF000000</textcolor>

<visible>!System.HasNetwork</visible>

<include>shadow-grey</include>

<animation effect="fade" end="0" time="100">WindowClose</animation>

</control>

<control>

<description>NO TEMPS</description>

<posx>220</posx>

<posy>120</posy>

<texture>TWClogo_64px.png</texture>

<visible>!System.HasNetwork</visible>

<animation effect="fade" end="0" time="100">WindowClose</animation>

</control>

<!-- End GamerCard -->

I also changed the background in the weather window to match the themes + i did not like orange so changed it to purple as follows:

File: Myweather.xml:

Look for this area. All I changed was filename in the <texture> tags.

<control>

<description>Orange Background Static Alpha</description>

<type>image</type>

<posx>0</posx>

<posy>0</posy>

<width>720</width>

<height>576</height>

<visible>!Skin.String(KAI)</visible>

<texture>background-purple-alpha.png</texture>

<animation effect="fade" delay="100" time="750" condition="Window.Next(12999)">WindowClose</animation>

</control>

Here ya go. This is the media blade with the Weather instead of the Gamertag.

a little disappointed with this :(

but i guess it's just beta. the carbon theme has a layer bug, the highlight color is on top.

also doesn't support 16:9, everything is stretched and looks funny.

just too buggy for everyday use, plus my gf needs something more stable and easy to use.

definitely something to keep my eye on though.
