I thought that MS had been tweaking and slowly improving this dialog from Windows 95 all the way to Server 2003, when they had it nearly perfect for Chicago Beta 1. If they had continued with that, and replaced those side buttons with an "Add..." and "Properties" button for each of the four sections, along with a similarly clear "Bindings" tab, it would've been done. I'll see how Vista is when it's done downloading, but I have every confidence that the networking setup won't be as intuitive as this could've been (unless you're fine with just install it + DHCP).
