Matrix XII
As Will Ferrell would say in Old School... I saw Halo, and it looked glorrrrrrrious!!
AlphaPrime
Damn, I thought it'd be from a new area by looking at the topic title. Still looks fantastic however.
oldaccount1
It looks great. Is it ingame? Because a lot of the edges look VERY Photoshopped. In fact, look at all the edges and compare again. Either 360 got a new graphic layer that adds an outer blur, or Photoshop or the equiv. has been used here. But for a non-ingame shot, VERY slick. :)
Shetland
nope it is running realtime, i know this for a FACT. whether or not the depth of field will happen as you PLAY is another matter but it is running in realtime on the 360, same way halo2 had DOF in cinematic bits, its still running ingame just not playable. Matrix XII
If that is in game, Halo3 has the potential to be one of the greatest FPS experiences, ever.

eightequalsd
If it is rendered ie. not in game, it looks just like promotional pictures for Halo 2, but if it is real in game, its amazing :) I might get a 360 for this game
Matrix XII
Even if it is rendered, it still looks great :p lol

I'm not talking about depth of field. Look at the edges around the mechanical components--it's most visible around the "claw" near MC's elbow. Compare that to any of the inner edges on the "machine". Clearly, this is a secondary layer with a softening blur option applied to the outer edges. 360 can't do that in realtime without going about 3 FPS. You claiming it wont run and him claiming it will, when neither of you are not even remotely developing for it. edit: And what you are saying is depth of feild. So you dont even know as much as the first guy.
lol911
Halo3 might look great, but if it has anything like the gameplay in the overrated Halo/2 it is going to be crap. Another drop in the ocean of FPS'.
Apex.
Its an ingame model rendered with a whole lot of AA/AF. It will be that graphically detailed, but it will be a little more jaggy than that.

former1
Is that... plastic he's wearing? Wtf is up with game companies today trying to make everything "glow" and look "shiny". Really starting to **** me off tbh xD. Whilst the screens do look sweet I'll admit - I'm pretty sure ingame will look nothing like that. 360 fan boys flame away >.>

Shetland
And what you are saying is depth of feild. So you dont even know as much as the first guy. I thought he was talking about the depth of field, I am still not sure what he is talking about, the aliasing along the edges? a AA filter maybe. It COULD well be that the chief is pasted on but i have seen that level of detail in this game running realtime and therefore will bet its realtime. It obviously wont run like that in PLAY but for realtime cutscenes i -know- it is possible. have you ever head of LOD? this is likely the highest level of detail and the engine would scale down texture size and polygons depending on how far away it is, you wouldnt notice it though. the trailer map likely has it locked at highest. and thankyou, yes he obviously knows more than me, despite realtime 3d being my job and knowing the first two halo engines inside out. I dont mean to come off arrogant but if you disagree with me you could at least argue otherwise rather than calling me a liar.
