n30w1n
The division that makes the Xbox is already separate, but if you're suggesting that Xbox drop the Microsoft brand, then no. To say that "people" wouldn't associate it with BSOD's is, in fact, stating purely your own opinion. The Microsoft brand doesn't effect the Xbox but the Xbox does effect the Microsoft brand, and in a positive way. It conveys the message to Joe Consumer that Microsoft isn't all about Windows, that Microsoft does other things as well, that Microsoft can indeed be "fun," despite what those stupid Apple commercials with the kid on crack claim. -Anthony
The Xbox wouldn't be anywhere without Microsoft, this is literally impossible. There wouldn't even be a 360. Microsoft needs a console in people's homes or else Sony would slowly come up on Microsoft. Why do you think the original Xbox was designed anywho ? Again I don't see another Xbox after this generation if the brand's loss are half of what they lost last gen. Unless offcourse Microsoft decides to give it another try. They do have the money. Andrew Lyle Global Moderator Posted July 6, 2006 Global Moderator Share Posted July 6, 2006 hahaha, no. it's like saying, should Playstation move away from Sony. the answer to both is No. it ensures a quality (in most cases) product. Microsoft is doing what google is doing, trying to take over the world one thing at a time :D
