stezo2k
Jmann, I also have an LG 17" TFT myself and I have also tried it on it and there is quite a difference in quality. Just as good as a using high def TV, if not better. Only drawback is most games are widescreen.... I got my cable from ebay, ?6 including delivery. Bargain:))

You're using your VGA cable on a computer monitor that can output much higher resolutions than a regular TV. Regular TVs only run at 640x480. Your monitor probably goes up to 1280x1024. 307200 =His TV's pixels 1310720=Your monitor's pixels The extra1000000> pixels make a huge difference. stezo2k
Yeah I know my monitor has a much higher resolution than my TV making a big difference in quality I just wanted to know why my xbox 360 looks so much better on my TV using the VGA socket than the scart socket even though its the same resolution (640 x 480). Is the VGA forcing 480p?
icecaveman
VGA is forced Progressive Scan so if your TV seems to support 480p but when you connect your Xbox through the SCART you only get interlaced signal from it.

I got the VGA cable too for my Samsung LCD HDTV. It does make a nice difference, more AA is apparent. I think its because the XBOX360 is alot like a PC and thus, VGA connectivity produces better imagery. Just ask MadFerIt
stezo2k
Hanif, is the VGA cable better than the component connection that comes with the xbox 360? might sell my cable if thats the case
icecaveman
It depends on the TV model really, the cables should be the same quality but it depends on how the TV converts the signal into digital.
