PL_ Veteran Posted July 13, 2006 Veteran Share Posted July 13, 2006 Whaddya reckon? PGR for it's cool arcadey-ness, pick-up-and-play, and Kudos? Or FM for it's deep-ness, simulation-feel, and customisation? Decide!

Decide! thats exactly why you cant compare, you cant compare an arcade racing game with a racing sim its not even close to the other so your just gonna get answers based on who prefers arcade or sim games. Heehee...you're funny! Of course you can. It's a matter of preference. You like Forza-ish style? Choose Forza. You like PGR-ish style? Choose PGR. Besides, they both try not to be as single-sided as people think. PGR has realistic elements to it. Forza has arcade elements to it.
BroChaos Veteran Posted July 14, 2006 Veteran Share Posted July 14, 2006 i like them both immensely, for exactly the differences between them. pgr is just fast and fun. forza is technical and detailed. just wish the xbox had a wheel like the DFP... Iguana
I prefer the arcade-y (?) style of PGR. :) And Kudos?? Come on guys... Kudos is videogame crack... its probably the top reason I can't stop playing PGR3. :p
stezo2k
I love em both myself Forza is great for simulated racing and has so many customisation options and cars PGR is great for a more fun/arcade experience The forza games have a longer lifespan so i went with that :)

Couldn't have said it better myself. Also, Microsoft WILL be releasing an amazing wheel later this year with actual force feedback rather than just rumble. That'll be the day I buy my 360 :D
BroChaos Veteran Posted July 15, 2006 Veteran Share Posted July 15, 2006 nah, that wheel still sucks. so does the logitech one, which i tried at e3. they are only going to be 280 or whatever degree of rotation. i hope they have FF, but i'm not even sure if that will hold true. DrunknMunky Veteran Posted July 15, 2006 Veteran Share Posted July 15, 2006 Both of them are great games, but I wouldn't say PGR is an arcade racer. I'd say Forza is a more mature NFS in some ways. It has some excellent detail and customisation levels, but you only need to look at it and tell it's arcade. PGR has some crazy driving maneuvers but it's still more realistic and requires a lot more driving skill. Hard to choose between them because they are both fantastic. FM2 will be excellent and I hope PGR4 incorporates more customising ideas from Forza
BlueFighter
PGR3 is awesome! But still, thats what i thought about PGR2 before forza was released also :shifty: A long story short, PGR3 is almost the only game I play on 360 and when Forza 2 has been released PGR3 wont be much played, if even at all :D
