.KICK
First Xbox 360 Game Ban: Dead Rising Banned From GermanyWritten by Rivithed Monday, 17 July 2006 Capcom's upcoming Dead Rising will not be for sale in Germany. The USK, the ESRB of Germany, found the game to be too gory for release. This is the first Xbox 360 game to face a ban. Game content is typically modified by region, but there is no easy way to get around Dead Rising's hack and slash game play. Read more about Dead Rising here (or on the German Xbox page here, where the release date is currently listed as TBD). Source Man , it would suck to be in Germany, this is my number 1 game to get this summer
ViperSnake
Too gory, oh come on! That's why we have non-profit organizations manage game ratings.
Neo003
Now I am just trying to think why would the goverment doesn't want people to play this kinda game. But with the history of that country they have to be causious about what being released or not. Also I don't think it's only the goverment of germany who wants to stop sale of those kinda media. Andrew Lyle Global Moderator Posted July 17, 2006 Global Moderator Share Posted July 17, 2006 No wonder this game faces banning from germany, has anybody actually watched the videos of this game? The huge blood effects are so unnecessary, but it makes for a great game :)
