Steve
Ok, this is a kinda 'inbetween' post i guess! Right, i move data to and from my iBook, from my XP machine daily, but in a 'nutshell', i get ****ed off with deleting Stupid 'thumbs.db' files copied from my XP Machine, to my iBook. Is there anyway of turning it off in Windows, or maybe (unlikely i'd imagine) blocking 'thumbs.db' from being copied over?! The iBook picks them up in every folder, despite the fact they are ONLY visible if you turn on 'Show Hidden Files and Folders' in XP! i can deal with the DS_Stores on my PC, Cus they are 'hidden', but the thumbs.db Jus Sit there IN MY FACE! lol If anyone's got any idea's, it'd be appreciated! :D NeYo
Dazzla Veteran Posted October 11, 2002 Veteran Share Posted October 11, 2002 I'm pretty sure that there's an option in Folder options, something like Cache thumbnails. I'll install XP again and have a look.

oDD
Yep Dazzla's correct. In Explorer go Tools->Folder Options. Then in the View tab choose 'Dont cache thumbnails'. :)
sparkleytone
or just 'rm -R *.db' in the terminal once you are done copying the files.
