Li_Lee Posted October 11, 2002 Share Posted October 11, 2002 hope someone can help :alien: im using mandrake linux 9.0 and my sound card is a PCI 128 (i think thats right... im not at my home computer right now so if it is wrong ill edit the post later with the proper name :) ) im having trouble with my sound on mandrake 9... i boot up the computer, the log in screen appears... i log in, kde starts loading but i get no sound from it at the beggining, everything else is fine like xmms and xine etc. does anyone know how i can fix this? :s thanks :cool: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
RadishTM Veteran Posted October 11, 2002 Veteran Share Posted October 11, 2002 Are you sure you don't have an intergreated soundcard on ya motherboard? cuz that causes many Mandrake sound problems, look in the BIOS .... Also use a program called 'Lothar' to detect hardware, the name 'Lothar' may have changed as 'Lothar' is from Mandrake 7.0 but it should be there or under another name .... Hope this helps :) ....
