One of my favorite drinks though, Crown Royal (I know it's not JD, but they're both whiskey) and Ginger Ale with ice Ginger Ale is nice with whiskey. In Canada, we typically mix our rye whiskey with ginger ale. I have seen people mix whiskey and coke but that should really only be done if you want to get drunk and you really don't like the taste of the alcohol.
