Generic database file, could be created by a number of different database programs: Program(s) that open a db file Mac / Windows: A compatible database program such as FileMaker Pro or MS Access

Most of the time, a DB file will be Thumbs.db, which does indeed store thumbnails for icons.

If you dont know what a file does, right click it, choose "open with", and choose "Use web service". This will tell you what the file is and what program to use.

If its used by launchy, why do you want to open it with something else ?

In launchy's index, certain things are not indexed properly. So i just want to correct it. Its said that the next version of Launchy will have the feature to edit. But the new version will take some good time to get launched and i dont want to wait till then.
