Windam
Who knows when will MS start making the G5's in 65nm process for the X360?

magik
First quarter of 07: http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/10754/Charte...-Xbox-360-CPUs/ It will not, however, affect the speed of the Xbox 360 in comparison to 90nm Xbox 360s being mfg. now. I think it's more of a price cut issue, but I'm not sure.
Ajapi
Performance will be the same. However, yields will improve, so Microsoft might begin making some money out of the console, or at least cut back on losses. Other than that, expect no added functionality, except for cooler operating temperatures maybe.
2xSilverKnight
g5 ? get your facts strait first because it's a tri-core cpu designed for the 360 (mainly optimized for games tasks) who is able to cooperate with the ATI 48 Unified Pipeline Architecture. And second, it was already announced before by microsoft.

Early dev kits were G5 based because they most resembled the finished processor but the 360 CPU as it is now is a world of a difference AFAIK.
